Sustainable Packaging: A Winning Synergy with Tecnozoo Suppliers

Tecnozoo’s long-standing commitment to improving livestock farming conditions is closely intertwined with care for the surrounding environment: true animal welfare can only be achieved if it is eco-sustainable throughout the entire supply chain. For this reason, when selecting the most suitable packaging, we chose three suppliers that fully reflect our total green vision.

Smurfit Kappa, a global leader and the #1 producer of corrugated cardboard for packaging in Europe, has adopted an innovative sustainable sourcing program across all its plantations and those of its partner suppliers. Through voluntary participation in three internationally recognized forest certification schemes – Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®), Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC™), and Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI™) – the sourcing of 100% virgin and recycled fibers always takes place in a safe and responsible manner. This means not only high quality at the right cost, but also a truly certified Chain of Custody, covering supplier risk assessment and the mitigation of risks related to environmental and local social aspects. A strategy focused on food safety and well-being: literally from forest to factory, all the way to the shop door.

Ellepibox of Altivole (TV), through careful analysis of raw materials, ensures that equipment used for packaging production is constantly monitored and cleaned, guaranteeing maximum protective safety for pet food products and for the storage chain of complementary feeds.

Cardboard is the green packaging material par excellence: natural, recyclable, and 100% biodegradable. Mg Busatto of Quinto (TV) is committed to recycling tons of cardboard every month derived from production offcuts. It is also an ideal partner for the use of water-based inks, such as the adhesives used during production, which do not require the use of solvents.
