A great story of growth, that of Tecnozoo from Piombino Dese, province of Padua, in Eastern Europe. A story that began 15 years ago with a small, determined team of the Venetian company – made up of area manager Giuliano Rossetto and veterinarians Massimo Malupini and Massimo Leonardi – who set out to “conquer” the Danubian countryside, particularly the dairy and meat farms of Slovakia, Romania, and Hungary.
After the call to arms of other company technicians, including Pierantonio Boldrin, ten years ago a selected group of local technicians and agents joined the team: Roman Petrikovič in Slovakia, Marian Anghelescu in Romania, and the duo formed by Tunde Kiss and the very Italian Nicola Penzo in Hungary.
Finally, two years ago, the last act of the acquisition campaign: nutritionist Cristiano Ossensi joined to ensure that new clients in the East could be fully supported, including management and nutritional guidance during transition.

Three large realities traveling with Tecnozoo

Tecnozoo, the taste of well-done work

The group visiting the Beke farm. Twelve Italian farms participated in the tour.

It is precisely to make the Hungarian reality known to a group of Italian livestock entrepreneurs (12 farms represented, 22 people in total) that the same “Eastern Europe” team traveling with Tecnozoo organized a three-day trip around Budapest. Three mega-farms were targeted, producers of drinking milk: Beke (1,750 milking cows), Geo Friz (805 lactating cows at the time of the visit), and Hunland Dairy (1,150 cows in milking).
“The Beke Hajduböszörmény farm – reports Giuliano Rossetto – is owned by a group of partners, and with a very large agricultural area of 3,200 hectares, in addition to dairy cows, it also raises pigs and produces biogas.

Regarding the dairy sector, the farm has been our client for 8 years since 2011, using our products aimed at improving fertility: Fertyl Plus, Calcium Fast Bolo, and Ferm Starter Bolo.

Clearly, the results obtained over time have satisfied the farm management because in recent weeks Beke has also become our client for Close Up HA, for transition management. A similar dynamic is happening at another farm visited by the Italian farmers, Geo Friz Kft. “Also in this case – informs Nicola Penzo – it is a very large farm of 1,000 hectares, very high-performing, which in December 2018 had an average milk production of 41.5 liters per cow per day. The owner is Italian, Wilmuth Huber, who moved here from the province of Bolzano about twenty years ago and was among Tecnozoo’s first Hungarian clients. Wilmuth started using our transition products, namely the aforementioned Close Up HA, and given the excellent results achieved, since last February he has also become our client for other products like Milk SKG. Today, we can say that at Geo Friz we are present in every stage of the production cycle, including Energy Raising, aimed at improving the performance and health of fresh cows.”

The Hunland Dairy Ltd (on the left) is owned by Jos Janssen, CEO of the Hunland group.

Among the farms included in traveling with Tecnozoo, perhaps the most impressive in terms of size and performance is Hunland Dairy Ltd. Jos Janssen, also CEO of the Hunland group, one of Europe’s leading companies in livestock and meat trading, guides us (see also www.hunland.com).
Regarding just the dairy cow operation, Janssen oversees three large farms, two in Hungary and one in Greece. “Together with the group of Italian farmers – explains Cristiano Ossensi – we visited the farm where currently 1,150 cows are milked, but soon, after the last structural renovation, 1,800 cows will be milked. A farm where, in addition to dairy cows, there are also fattening cattle.”
Of course, Tecnozoo products are widely used at Hunland Dairy Ltd, starting with transition products:
“In the prepartum group – summarizes Cristiano – our partial DCAD diet and Close-Up HA are applied, while in multiparous cows postpartum, our calcium boluses are administered. Then there’s Agecon 4, the acidifier, included practically in all rations.”
And it doesn’t stop there: “The excellent results obtained on the cows – concludes Cristiano traveling with Tecnozoo – also opened the doors to the fattening sector, where, with the collaboration of Massimo Leonardi, Agecon 4, our detox complex Hepatos, and Normoterm Fluid, our plant-based aspirin, are used.”

At Piombino Dese, the Padua headquarters of Tecnozoo SRL, the satisfaction, traveling with Tecnozoo, is palpable, for a connection with Eastern Europe that is increasingly strong and profitable.
