A comprehensive collaboration characterizes the partnership between Tecnozoo and Davide Canegrati Agricultural Farm, starting from the field and extending to nutritional consultancy.

The working method, explained by Dr. Lorenzo Gentile, is as follows: it begins with agronomic field support for the selection and management of forage crops, in this case mainly pre-wilted silages of grasslands, alfalfa, and autumn–winter forage mixtures.

During the lactation phase, Dairy Feed Cd, a customized complementary feed, is included as support, while dry cow management relies on wheat hay and, in the final days before calving, Anion Booster, which represents a flagship product.

For summer supplementation support, the proposed solution is Agecon 4, which, thanks to its anti-fermentative and modulatory actions, supports rumen fermentation and, as reported by Canegrati, also helps improve fecal consistency.

Facility renewal and a carefully designed feeding plan have played a key role in achieving a healthy calf-rearing unit.

After renovating the calf housing facilities and providing covered areas to improve animal welfare, reduce labor, and limit the use of medications, Davide Canegrati’s farm has observed a significant improvement in overall management.

Regarding calf nutrition, the farm is very satisfied with the Multiparticle Starter feed:

“Even though we were initially skeptical because the presence of some straw made us concerned about possible feed selection, we have now been using it for several months. Calves consume it readily, and we have not experienced any selection issues.”

In subsequent growth phases, calves continue to receive Multiparticle Starter, to which a portion of dry mixed ration is added, followed by Tecnozoo support and formulated with a supplement suited to the animals’ needs. “It is a simple, fairly cost-effective ration that delivers good results.”
