MooMonitor+ collars paint the pastures of Alpe Andossi blue
The MooMonitor+ herd health monitoring system was chosen for the Pascol-Ando project.
A new success for MooMonitor+. The project, carried out in collaboration between CREA, the University of Milano-Bicocca and the Regional Breeders Association of Lombardy (ARAL), thanks to the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, aims to create sustainable pasture management by promoting innovative techniques and practices to improve alpine pasture conditions.
Specifically, the project set out to demonstrate how the precision and efficiency of precision livestock farming—enabled in this case by the MooMonitor+ herd health monitoring system—represent a valuable support for high-altitude farmers.
MooMonitor+ is the most accurate and advanced herd health monitoring system on the market!
It stands out from all other herd management systems on the market in terms of data analysis and visualization. Data related to individual animals recorded by MooMonitor+ collars (activity, rumination, resting, feeding) are collected every 6 seconds and calculated every 15 minutes, providing users—within the minute—with accurate information on the entire herd. This makes it 8 times more precise than any other system.
Through continuous real-time monitoring of behavior, the MooMonitor+ app improves reproductive performance by minimizing losses due to missed heats and supports preventive health management through early disease detection and overall animal welfare monitoring.
Some advantages of the new MooMonitor+ system:
- Extremely accurate analysis of:
- heat
- Real-time data every 15 minutes
- NFC technology
- Battery life up to 10 years
- Extremely long antenna range: up to 1 km in open space
- Easy-to-use smartphone app
- Remote updates
- Cloud-based system: no PC required
- And much more…
