Our roots
A story of commitment and vision
Tecnozoo was founded in 1984 in Piombino Dese, in the province of Padua, when the Vanzetto family’s experience in calf farming led brothers Danilo and Ivano to question how to improve the nutrition of their animals, seeking a balance between welfare and productivity. From this reflection came the idea of creating blends of natural raw materials, designed to obtain healthier feeds tailored to the specific needs of livestock farming. Tecnozoo was therefore established with the aim of developing specific supplements capable of improving animal health and performance. Over more than 40 years of history, the company has grown to become a joint-stock company (S.p.a.), continuously strengthening its market competitiveness without compromising on quality. To this end, the entire production chain has been fully internalized: from manufacturing to sales, as well as research and technical support. The activity, which began in Veneto in 1984, has thus expanded the knowledge and use of its products throughout all Italian regions and subsequently to more than forty countries worldwide.

Tecnozoo products follow a carefully controlled production process, designed and monitored down to the smallest detail:
• The study of its core components is carried out by veterinarians and pharmacists working in collaboration with technicians who are present on farms on a daily basis;
• Production is carried out using highly advanced and precision technologies, operated by highly specialized personnel;
• Quality control is performed on a scheduled basis, both on incoming raw materials and on each production batch.
This approach allows us to offer our customers high added value, both in terms of effective products and in terms of services and essential technical guidance, aimed at improving farm productivity efficiency and overall profitability.

Our history
Since 1940
Tecnozoo was born from the experience of the Vanzetto family on their own calf farm, where brothers Danilo and Ivano began questioning how to improve the nutrition of their animals, seeking a balance between welfare and productivity.
In 1984, Tecnozoo was founded with the aim of developing specific supplements and complementary feeds designed to improve the health and performance of farmed animals.
Zooplanet was established as a wholesaler of pet food products.
Within a few years, it expanded its sales network, evolving into a franchised retail brand specialized in the pet sector, with a distinctive added value: qualified and knowledgeable staff able to provide tailored advice and personalized support to each customer.
Today, Zooplanet counts more than 25 stores throughout Italy and, in addition to being the exclusive distributor of international brands, also offers a selected range of proprietary products
Equiplanet is the brand created by Tecnozoo, dedicated exclusively to the production and marketing of a complete range of mineral and complementary feeds designed for the nutrition of the performance horse at every stage of growth and athletic career.
Since 2000, Equiplanet has rapidly established itself in Italy and abroad, thanks to product quality, careful formulation, and the ongoing research and optimization carried out by its specialized technical team.
In this year, a new highly automated facility for the production of powdered complementary feeds was built. In addition, Tecnozoo obtained ISO 9001 certification, an international recognition attesting to the quality of its management system and its ongoing commitment to continuous process improvement.
Company expansion with the construction of a building used for offices, finished product warehouse, and the production department for liquid products and small-pack formats.
In 2017, the company evolved its legal structure, transitioning from a general partnership (S.n.c.) to a limited liability company (S.r.l.), marking an important phase of growth and consolidation both in Italy and in international markets.
Tecnozoo has always been a family-run company, but since 2021 it has chosen to renew its organizational structure by establishing a Board of Directors and a Shareholders’ Assembly.
This new governance is supported by an organizational chart made up of both internal and external professionals, in which roles and responsibilities are assigned according to expertise, integrating family members and collaborators with managerial functions.
In 2024, Tecnozoo celebrates 40 years of activity with a major milestone: the construction of the fourth building at its headquarters and the development of a semi-automated warehouse, designed to maximize vertical and depth space utilization, confirming a path of continuous growth focused on efficiency.
