Description
Saccharomyces cerevisiae – mechanisms of action:
- Increased fibre digestibility through a higher number and greater efficiency of cellulolytic bacteria.
- Stabilisation of rumen pH, promoting the growth of lactic acid–utilising bacteria (Megasphaera elsdenii and Selenomonas ruminantium), with a consequent reduction in the risk of ruminal acidosis and an increase in feeding frequency.
- Reduction of ruminal ammonia and, consequently, milk urea levels.
